To know me is to know that I love music, and in particular crafting a mood through music! During our roadtrip through Arizona fall in 2018, Tyler Childers was very much the mood for the entire trip. He’s a good ol Kentucky boy and if you haven’t heard ‘Shake the Frost’ – you need to! In the January 2020 playlist: Sweet Home, I included a little bit of the moody acoustic vibe with a lot of upbeat songs to get me back into the groove of working out. I quit working out for a while because home renovations are hard and so is winter. We’ve all been on the ‘I refuse to leave the warmth of the covers’ train.
New Voices:
Mansionair with ‘Easier‘. For some reason, he sounds very much like a slower Christian French. (One of my all-time favorites!)
Oliver Riot with ‘Hallucinate‘ is good cooking music. Yes – I have specific music for when I cook and you should too. Your food will taste better!
Gym Worthy:
‘Die For Me‘ with Post Malone? I love it. I probably shouldn’t love Post Malone to the degree that I do, but ‘Sunflower’ got me a mainstream kinda hooked that I really cannot deny?
Also, this is the first time I really felt a Halsey song was worth putting into a playlist? Usually Halsey is over-played and I get sick of it; However, ‘Devil In Me’ was very much a vibe that needed to be included on the January 2020 playlist.
